6397-Stella Ishii and The News.
Forty to fifty percent of the collection is made up of denim and consists of 4-5 styles of jeans. Nearly all the staff at News come to work in their favorite jeans and taking that as Inspiration. How cool!
The line offers jeans with nuances that are hard to come by, muscle tees, baseball tees, slouchy cardigans and sweaters – boyish feel- all complement the denim. The denim is made in Los Angeles. Cotton cashmere T-shirts retail and denim for a moderate price.
Stella made things they want to wear. Stella Ishii is the owner of The News, a fashion showroom in New York, which is well known as an important fashion Destination, where many owners and buyers of stores from around the world stop by.
Ms. Ishii put it this way:

“The inspiration of 6397 comes from my staff and their cool and individual sense of style”.

This brand is about individual style – in the same way, that Stella and her staff are not much swayed by trends- 6397 has this spirit of individuality. It is also minimal and free of decoration.

“To think only of what will sell becomes boring. We tried to offer a wardrobe of clothes that we would want to wear-everyday.”

This is how Stella Ishii explained about the inception of the brand. 6397 offers a casual wardrobe for modern women – selecting simple yet beautiful fabrics and focusing on fine finishes.

I felt like a bit as out of “Dallas” or “Denver Clan” when the pictures has been produced. The contrast between the vintage black cord velvet and the brick colored turtleneck is amazing. Turtlenecks are a back for Fall 2016. What are the advantages of the tight piece, that will be an essential this season:

  • it covers entirely
  • can be made from any fabric
  • can translate to any style
  • it can look propper, sexy, retro, lux, glam.. you name it
  • not a look in this world it can´t nail
  • We love, that this basic is having a major moment this season! Whether paired with jeans or worn under a blazer, we’re loving the versatility this style offers while keeping you warm and looking chic.
Instead of a button-down, reach for a turtleneck sweater to style with a tailored suit this fall – like pictured or step up your denim look by mixing your boyfriend jeans with a striped turtleneck and blazer.
For your night out or your next party, throw on a slouchy navy turtleneck knit with a festive mini and statement heels.
